    PDF to Markdown: turn a local PDF into searchable, editable notes (past 50 pages it splits into parts and adds an index note)

    Web search in the chat panel: it can search the public web before answering, on the free allowance or with your own Zhipu GLM key

    Mermaid diagrams in reading view: pan, zoom from 0.2x to 5x, double-click to reset, and export as .svg or .png

    Loading state for the search index: large vaults show it while the index is read, and results appear on their own once it is ready

    Claude Code session recovery: when a session is cut short by an unexpected exit or by running out of memory, pick it up again in the same tab

New versions download in the background and apply on restart

Auto-update

NoteLoom Desktop checks for a new version 30 seconds after launch, then every 6 hours. If there is one, it downloads in the background with no dialog. When the download finishes, an "Update ready" badge appears on the right of the status bar. Click it and the app saves any unsaved edits, then restarts on the new version. Ignore it and the update installs the next time you quit. Your notes folder is not touched.

The current version number, installer size, and SHA-512 hash are published in latest.yml .

Versions prior to 1.0.0

Public, user-facing release notes are tracked starting from the 1.0.0 milestone. Earlier experimental builds and internal milestones were unified into the stable 1.0 release.
